Derek the Helper, Karina's Lost Tooth, Summer Begins

Derek got a lawn mower for Christmas and now that our grass needs to be mowed, his mower has shifted from an indoor push-toy to a real lawn mower.  Every time Nate mows the lawn, Derek enthusiastically runs outside to grab his mower too.  Derek mows the lawn the entire time Nate does, even though it takes nearly an hour.  He doesn't get bored and diligently mows, pretends to add gas to his mower, pulls the cord to start it up, and follows Daddy around.

Lydia got in on the action once, to Derek's great dismay and shrieks.

Our happy and hard worker:

Lydia made herself a robot costume one morning.  Normally, if she does this, she makes a box for her head, but this time she managed to box in her chest.

Lydia and Derek have loved playing in our mini pool the past month.  They slide down the little slide over and over again without getting bored.  Derek often brings me his bathing suit, trying to get me to put it on him, while repeatedly saying 'wa wa' and pointing outside.  If I don't cooperate, he takes his clothes off by himself and tries to get his bathing suit on.

Poor Snoopy was the victim of a 2 year old's whims, and was stuck wearing safety glasses:

Karina made herself a tall throne the day before she lost her tooth.

This picture was taken a few minutes after losing her fourth tooth.  Fun to have a double front toothless grin!

Derek insisted on being photographed so he could look at his picture right afterward.
