November flew by. We did get a little bit of snow one day. The kids had fun shoveling it, even though it would have melted by itself since we didn't get much. This is how much snow is needed for school to be cancelled around here:
We had a snow ball fight and played in it as much as we could.
Derek continues to adore Snoopy.
Karina made this up herself and we all got some good laughs.
Karina and Lydia performed in the school talent show by playing piano. They worked very hard and were courageous playing in front of so many people. Lydia has only been playing piano for 1 month, but wanted to perform anyway. Karina has 2 years behind her now.
Mimi and Mormor came to visit over Thanksgiving week.
The kids LOVED making silly faces for the picture. After this, I tried to take a normal picture, but couldn't get the 2 younger ones to cooperate. At least I like the silly picture.
This little guy loved the extra attention.
As did the girls.
One day we went to the National Aquarium and enjoyed their exhibits. The kids participated in a program that let them read aquatic books to earn free tickets to the aquarium. Tickets are usually $50 for adults and $30 for kids, so we were happy they are good readers.
Being a robot never gets old:
Our Thanksgiving feast:
I was thrilled we had a small turkey this year and didn't have too much leftovers. It was nice to be done with Thanksgiving by the end of the weekend.
We enjoyed decorating the Christmas tree.
Derek thought it would be a good idea to wear Mimi's button shirt. He always comments that Mimi wears button shirts and often likes to match him wearing his own button shirts This day, he went further, wearing Mimi's shirt.
