The kids finished up their soccer season at the beginning of November. Below is Karina's team.
We went to "DinoStroll" in Pennsylvania with Lydia's friend Rebekah and her family. There were about 80 animatronic dinosaurs in the expo center. Lydia and Rebekah love dinosaurs, and so does Derek, and we found plenty of cool looking dinosaurs.
The next weekend, we made another trip to Pennsylvania, but this time to Hershey Park. For the first time ever, we actually rode on a few rollercoasters. Our debut happened as I had been predicting for years. I always said that by the time Karina wanted to go on a rollercoaster (she never wanted to before), then we would be able to go as a family because Derek would be so tall. Derek was the brave 5 year old with his arms in the air during scary parts. Unfortunately for Karina, she was too tall for some of the rides she used to love at Hershey Park. She is 5 foot and 1/2 inch, and Hershey Park has height maximums on some kiddie rides. Some of the kiddie rides did allow a child to be accompanied by an adult, and on those rides, Karina got to be Derek's guardian and participate.
Below, we are waiting in line at LaffTrakk, an indoor coaster, and there were funny mirrors to walk by. We all turned into midgets.

Below, on SkyView. The weather was chilly, but not overly cold. This was our first time at Hershey Park around Christmas; the lights all around made it pretty.
Mimi and Mormor came to visit for Thanksgiving week. We put up Christmas decorations the day they arrived.
Despite Covid, we made a trip to HyperKidz, an indoor playground. Looking at these pictures, I am noticing that our kids weren't wearing masks the whole time (because it gets hard to breathe in a mask when you run around constantly). That wouldn't work any more in Howard County, which has once again reinstated a mask mandate indoors at all facilities open to the public.

Thanksgiving dinner was a big production with so many homemade dishes. The food was delicious though and worth the effort. We ate Thanksgiving dinner multiple days in a row.
Soccer in the backyard:
For several months, I had been curious about a local pirate treasure hunt organized monthly for kids. Every month, at a different location in Howard County, there is a 1 mile trek to find pirate treasure, with clues to solve and a code to discover to open the pirate treasure chest, where each child gets 2 pieces of treasure. Our little pirate and his sisters had fun and we did the December hunt a few days ago as well.
