Visit from Parents

Two weekends ago my parents were in town for a conference my dad had in Virginia, and so they got to visit us for a couple days. Snoopy was thrilled with the visit, because he had 4 sets of hands ready to pet him at all times - he thought it was wonderful! Here we are squishing him awkwardly:


We got some things done around the house with them here - like curtains altered and sewed together, cleaning, a ceiling spot repaired. Also the marmot/woodchuck/groundhog (whatever it's called) who keeps trying to live under our front steps, had its path blocked with new concrete blocking its entrance.



The next day, Nate had the day off because of Columbus Day, so we drove down to the place in Virginia my dad's conference was being held, and we went with my mom on a hike in Shenandoah River State Park. Once we got away from the river (and its mosquitoes) and up into the woods, the hike was very pleasant and pretty.




It was a nice visit!
