Last weekend we went to the Howard County Fair, since we had never been to a local fair in Maryland before. Howard County has less than 300,000 people, and that meant the fair was pretty small. Even so, we had plenty of fun. We didn't go on any rides because of Karina, but we enjoyed the arts and crafts exhibits, and especially all the farm animals. Karina loved looking at the animals, but was a little nervous about touching them. She got to pet a bunch of sheep, a goat kid, a cow, a chick, and a duckling. The petting zoo was full of baby animals that could all be petted, though Karina just looked at most of them (other animals included baby emus, rabbits, piglets, etc).

One of the most fun parts of Karina's nighttime routine is getting her teeth brushed. I have heard how other parents struggle to brush their toddler's teeth because of how much the child struggles against it, but Karina seems to think the whole thing is a ticklish joke. We don't have to force her to open her mouth because she is too busy laughing with her mouth wide open. I never knew brushing teeth could be so entertaining.
