We're almost through November, but have still not put together a post on our Halloween. Obviously, that is a big holiday for our kids. The girls were talking about what they wanted to be for Halloween for a few months. Karina insisted that she wanted to be Evie from Disney's Descendants TV movies. The movies track the supposed children of Disney heroes and villains and (spoiler alert) most of the villains end up deciding to be good instead of evil. Evie is the daughter of the Evil Queen from Snow White. While Evie has blue hair and Karina did have dyed hair during our church trunk or treat activity, when the dye came out she was so horrified by the blue streaks coming down in the bathtub that she didn't want to wear blue hair spray again.
Tanja wanted to get Lydia a Rapunzel dress and managed to convince Lydia that she should be Rapunzel for Halloween so well that Lydia thought it was her idea.
Derek has dressed up in the police officer outfit a few times around home, so he was pretty easy to convince to be a police officer for Halloween as well.
Here are our kids ready to go trick or treating.
We brought home way too much candy and have donated much of it to get it out of the house and away from me and my sweet tooth.
In other silliness, Derek has started being more independent and trying to feed himself. This meal was one of his messier in recent memory. I think he was trying to slurp some of the food out of his bowl and managed to get it on his forehead, hair, and everywhere else. He took a while to clean up after that meal.
