Thanksgiving

Mimi and Mormor came to visit over Thanksgiving.  The kids loved interacting and seeing live people again.  Virtual school doesn't provide the interaction they need, so a visit was just what they wanted.  

Derek is a cuddle bug.  He gives snuggles all day, and especially first thing in the morning when he likes to crawl into people's beds to give out his huggies. 

We put up our Christmas trees early this year - the weekend before Thanksgiving!  We put a real one in the living room and an artificial one by the stairwell.  Since we are home all the time, I liked having the cheery decor up early.  The kids enjoyed putting on the ornaments. 

Soccer in the yard is always a highlight.  Mimi played soccer with the kids multiple times per day.

Right before eating our Thanksgiving meal, we took some pictures in front of the tree, since we were sort of dressed up.

Mormor, Karina, and I played Jenga, and we were very impressed with ourselves when we eventually reached 33 levels high.

We played Pictionary one afternoon, taking turns drawing the pictures. 

Derek even participated.  He didn't have to read a card to be assigned what to draw though.  Instead, he just picked something himself and everyone had to guess.  It was no surprise that his drawings were spider-related on his turns. 

Saying good-bye is always hard.  Lydia even jumped into Mormor's arms.
