These pictures are out of chronological order, but for ease of storytelling and splitting up the remaining pictures into cohesive posts, it's easier to put them together in a post now. We always struggle to get good family pictures where everyone is looking at the camera and smiling at the same time and really wanted to get a good family photo on this trip. We had planned outfits and done everything we could to properly prepare. Then when the day to take the pictures came, the camera lens fogged up from it being too humid and we couldn't keep it unfogged long enough to get a good picture - it was very disappointing. Of course, half an hour after we first started taking the pictures, the lens cleared up and adjusted to the outside conditions (instead of the indoor air-conditioned environment where the camera was just prior to our attempted photo shoot). The lesson was learned, so when we tried again a couple days later, I kept the camera outside for an hour before the planned photo session. This time, the results were much better and I think we got some good family photos. If one of these ends up as our Christmas card photo this year, you now know where it came from.
To get the kids (and adults) to smile, we offered Courtney a couple dollars if she would act silly behind Grandpa who served as our photographer. She earned her money and did a great job. We first took photos on the beach with the ocean.
Then moved over to the river side for a few spots like the porch swing:

The last morning, we made sure to take some family pictures of Aaron's family before we all went our separate ways.
