Not much exciting going on here - just more pictures to share. Tomorrow is Lydia's 4 month birthday and I am curious to see how her stats are progressing when we go to her doctor appointment on Tuesday. She definitely isn't as chubby anymore, and has perhaps stretched out.
For now, Karina absolutely adores Lydia, constantly giving her hugs and kisses. She brings Lydia's burp cloths, tells me to pick her up immediately when she starts crying, and is always looking out for her. However, Karina is not good at sharing, and it will be interesting to see how they work things out when Lydia starts playing with toys. We bought a little play phone, obviously meant for babies, to give Lydia for Christmas. Karina was quite insistent that it should be hers because "Lala (Lydia) too little - my play with toy. I'm a big girl."
Karina thought it was hilarious to have Nate provide a breeze. She's a funny girl.
My mother complained there weren't any pictures of me in the last post, so here are a couple, though we should probably take more with me in them.
I liked Karina's church outfit today. It came equipped with a striped dress, polkadot sweater and striped socks. I don't think I could pull that off, but she did marvellously.
We keep chiseling away at various projects around the house. We should have the backsplash in the kitchen done by next weekend. The shower door above the bath tub in the girls' bathroom was removed last week and a curtain got put up (the door made it hard to give Karina a bath and it was gross anyway), and we are going to spray paint various fixtures oil-rubbed bronze soon to cover the 90's brass. A couple weeks ago when Nate was furloughed for 3.5 days, more rooms got painted, and luckily for us his furlough has ended for now.
We got new neighbors behind us last month and they decided to remove ALL of the trees in their backyard, to our dismay. There was a large crew of professional tree cutters working for 2 and a half days, equipped with a large crane, etc. It ruined some of the privacy we absolutely loved about our lot. Luckily, we have trees on our lot too and they aren't our only back neighbors. Hopefully the other back neighbors won't ever remove their trees. The largest tree removed was so tall, that a daredevil worker was high up in the tree and over the course of many hours, cut it down in chunks (over 10+ chunks total), with each piece carried away in the air by the crane after it was cut.
