Mimi and Mormor recently came for a visit and left last Wednesday, with Mormor arriving a couple days before Mimi. We were excited to have visitors.
Playing with Mormor's visor:
I was just looking through the next pictures and noticed how Derek-heavy they are. It is because he is so eager to smile for the camera on command, while Karina and Lydia have to be carefully coaxed.
Derek loves his new talent for waving. "Hi, guys!"
Derek loves books. He is constantly grabbing a book and screeching to be lifted onto your lap to be read to. I'm glad he has that interest.
We got new chairs in the family room and moved the reclining love seat down to the basement rec room. So far I absolutely adore my new chairs and how they have transformed the room.
The large boxes that the chairs came in are still in the foyer. The kids have been playing in them nonstop for 2 weeks. Who needs toys when you have boxes?
The little scavenger likes to dig through everything:
We went swimming at a local pool one afternoon. Karina and Lydia had recently finished level 1 of swimming lessons, and it was good for them to get a little practice. We will have to go back soon so they can practice more.
He is so cute!
Below is Karina's electric circuit she made for her science project. The switch turns on music and there is a button to turn on a light and play more music.
Snoopy is feeling terrific after recovering from his surgeries, and he is cancer-free! He is back to normal and still a cuddle bug. When Nate took Snoopy to the vet to get his stitches out, Snoopy was trembling and moaning with fright the whole way up (and it is a long drive!), and trying to crawl on Nate's lap. Luckily the drive home was a relief for Snoopy.
More pictures to come in next post.
