Miami Part 6: Home Again

We are now back home in Maryland. Mormor and Morfar were great hosts, and they loved having Karina (and us I suppose) around. Karina and Snoopy enjoyed themselves in Miami too. Here are a few photos from random times during the trip from Tove's camera.

We flew back on Saturday afternoon. The flight was OK; Karina didn't sleep like she did on the way down to Miami and we didn't have the row to ourselves which made the flight seem a little longer, but we arrived in one piece, so we're satisfied. Poor Snoopy is such a good sport about this, even though he obviously hates being locked up in his kennel away from us in the cargo hold where it's doubtlessly scary for him. He was quite excited to see us when we arrived back in Maryland.

Here are some pictures taken at the airport. In the first Tanja and I were doing our best to give Snoopy (just out of the frame) some last minute attention before he was wisked away in his cage.

When we got back home, our mailbox was stuffed (we had held the mail delivery until we returned). The sudden change of temperature when we arrived back home was an indication that Fall was in full swing and Winter is not too far away. We also had a package waiting from my mom with more cute Karina clothes. We really liked this dress on her when she wore it to Church on Sunday.




Karina had her six month pediatrician's appointment on Monday. Here are her stats:
Height: 26 inches - 50th percentile
Weight: 15 lbs 4 oz (with diaper on) - 25th percentile
Head circumference: 17.5 inches - 90th percentile

She isn't as tall compared to her peers as she used to be, but I guess it's normal to kind of bounce around in the percentiles. The doctor was pleased with her growth and development and so are we.
