More Visitors

This last week my sister and brother-in-law, Kellie and Spencer, were out in the DC area for a conference. Kellie had been here before, but Spencer hadn't, so while Kellie was going to presentations and other conference events, Spencer was going to play tourist. They built in a few days on either side of the conference so they could both be together all day at the start and end of the week. We hosted them their first night (Saturday) out here, so they got to see our place, meet Karina, and visit. After church last Sunday, we all went up to Fort McHenry and Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Then I dropped them off at their fancy conference hotel in National Harbor, MD (near Alexandria, VA and Washington, DC). I took the day off work and we went to join them down on the National Mall playing tourist on Monday. By all reports, they had a blast, and we enjoyed spending a little bit of time with them.

I was disappointed with the pictures we took inside the museums - I really wanted a picture of Karina with a T-Rex or something in the Smithsonian Natural History Museum. Oh well, the pictures we took outside on the Mall turned out ok.

Now that Karina can hold her head up on her own, she is able to tolerate tummy time a little more. She also gets to take advantage of a jumperoo that we have had waiting in the wings for her. She seems to enjoy it, and will probably get more out of it when she is more coordinated to play with all the toys that are attached to it.
